In dei no[min]e Ame[n] An[n]o 1538 decimo octavo die mens[is] maij I John Inge of hanslop
mak[e] my test[a]m[ent] in mann[er] following * fyrst my sole to o[u]r lorde, & my bodi to be
burid in the church yarde of hanslop. In p[ri]mis I give to the mother church iiijd
& to the hight alt[ar] of hanslop viijd Allso to ev[r]i alt[ar] in the church ijd Item to the
bell Ropps iiijd Allso I will that Will[ia]m Inge my sone, injoie all such lands &
Tenements, Rents as I have unto his be halfe during his lyfe & so after his
lyfe, to descende to the heres male of his bodi la[w]fulli begotten And for want
of Eyer male, unto heres female. Allso I will that Will[ia]m yng my sone
his heres or his execut[ors] do pay or cause to be payd unto Richard yng my son
yff he lyve to the age of xx yer[e]s xvli of good & lawful mony of England.
Item I be queve to the same Richard my sone A fether bede A coverled w[i]t[h]
A paire of shetts & A bolster. Item vj silv[er]? spo[o]ns? after the deth of Jane my
wyffe. she to have the custodi of them during her lyff And after the deth of my
sone Ric[hard] to be devided Amongst the childern of Will[ia]m yng. Allso I will that Jane my
wyffe have & occupi upholding the reparacion & no wast made on the ground?
On[e] mes[su]age with the appurtenanc[es] ther[e]to be longi[n]g During the terme & space of iiij
yers. Allso I bequeve to Annis parratt my daught[e]r A brase pott & unto ev[r]i
on[e] off will[ia]m parratts childern iiijd And yff anney of them dy, hit? to remayn
the other & so to the longest liver of them. Ite[m] I be queve unto ev[r]i on[e] off will[ia]m
yngs childern iiijd & to John ynge A coffer in the wich mi deds do liyn. Allso I
bequeve to χρofer ynge iiijd & Annis byggs iiijd Allso to steven coper an ewe
w[i]t[h] a lame Item to Elysab[eth] Cowp[er] an ew[e] & a lame. Allso I will that Will[ia]m
my sone do or cause to be don[e] A yerly abbatt for my sole & my frends sole
& to have theratt a prest, & to dispose unto them & ther clarks & the ringers
ev[r]i yer * iiis iiijd. The residew off my goods I bequeve my detts paid
to Jane my wyff whom I mak[e] my full execut[rix] to dispose them for
