In the name of god Amen:  The viij th daie of November  anno dom 1617:  I Willyam Purrier of Hansloppe in the countie of Bucks beinge sicke in bodie but of good and perfect remembrance, thankes be given to allmightie god doe make and ordaine this my laste will and testament, in manner and forme followinge  Firste I give my soule into the handes of allmightie god my maker, saviour and redeemer;  and my bodie to be buried in the churchyarde of Castle Thropp;  Item I give unto my wife Susann, my howse or tenement in Cranfielde with the appurtenances, whearein one Willyam Goodwinne nowe dwelleth, duringe her naturall life, if she keepe herselfe widowe payinge for her fine one penny of currant mony of Englande;  and after the death of Susann my wife, I give my saide howse or tenement with the appurtenances unto George Purrier my sonne and to his heires and assignes for ever, accordinge to the custom of the mannor;  Item I give unto Mary my elldest daughter fifteene poundes, to be paide unto her eight yeares after my decease;  Item I give unto Annie my second daughter thirtie poundes to be paide her at the same tyme;  Item I give unto Joane Purrier, my youngest daughter Twentie poundes to be paide unto her at the same tyme eight yeares after my decease;  Item I give unto Susan my daughter Marys daughter five poundes to be paide to her at the same tyme;  all which legacies, are to be paide and made by my wife Susan my executrix, unto whome I give full power,and authoritie to sell my cottage or tenement whearein John Purrier, lately dwelt within the tyme appointed, and to give unto my saide daughters those portions aforesaide;  Item I give to fower Willyams  iiij s to carry me to Casstle Thropp, to be buried;  item I give unto the poore people of Hanslopp and Castle Thropp x s to be bestowed by the discretion of my executor and overseers and v s to be bestowed on ringers;  all the rest of my goodes unbequeathed, i give unto my wife Susanna whome I make my whole executrix of this my laste will and testament;  moreover I make Richard Peatt of Castle Thropp and Thomas Church of Hanslopp my overseers of this my laste will and testament giving them for theire paines, iij d   Sealed and delivered in the presence of Thomas Church  Robert Huggins and Willyam Johnson;  moreover I give unto Annie my daughter, my cubberd, my newe cheste, one greate kettle and one fryinge panne
