In the Name of God Amen the ffive and Twentieth day of August 1689 I William Sheppard of Hanslop in the County of Bucks yeoman being at this present time sicke in Body and takeing into Consideracon the Certanitie of my dissolucon and the uncertain tie of the time doe make this my last Will and Testament in maner ffollowing And ffirst I Comitt my Soule to God and my Body to the Earth whereof it was formed steadfastly beleiveing that my Body and Soule at the Generall Resurrection shall be reunited and Inherit Glory And as for that Estate which God of his meere bounty and goodness hath conferred and bestowed upon me I give devise and bequeath the same as ffolloweth Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Sonn William Sheppard Twenty pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid unto him by my Executrix hereafter named within one yeare next after my decease if he shalbe  then liveing  Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary the now Wife of Benjamin Weeden and unto Mary Weeden their daughter Twenty Shillings apeice to be paid unto them severally within one yeare next after my decease if they shalbe then liveing Item I give and bequeath unto my to Sonns Vincent Sheppard and John Sheppard the severall Sumes of ffifteen pounds apeice to be severally paid unto them by my said Executrix within one yeare next after my decease Item I hereby give and bequeath unto my said two Sonns Vincent Sheppard and John  Sheppard the severall Sumes of Seaventie ffive pounds apeice to be severally paid unto them by my said Executrix Immediately after the decease of Elizabeth Winnington  of the Towne of Buckingham in the said County of Bucks Widdow And if either of them the said Vincent Sheppard or John Sheppard shall happen to depart this Life before his said severall Legacyes hereby given and bequeathed shall become due and payable then the severall Legacyes of such of them soe departing this Life shall be paid to the Survivor And if both shall depart this Life before their said Legacy or Legacyes shalbe due and payable as aforesaid then my Will is and I doe hereby Appoint that my said Executrix shall distribute and pay the same unto and amongst such of my Children as shalbe then liveing All the Rest of my Goods Chattells and personall Estate unbequeathed my debts paid and ffunerall Expences discharged I give and bequeath unto my Welbeloved Wife Mary whom I make Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament And I doe hereby Revoake all former Wills by me made In Witness that this is my last Will and Testament I have hereunto subscribed by name and set my seale : William Sheppard subscribed sealed and published in the presence of William Smyth Thomas Carter Joseph Weeden
