In the Name of God Amen I William Sternton of Hanslap in the County of Bucks being weak of body, but of good and perfect memory do make and ordain this my last will and Testament in manner following. Imprimis I commend my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator my body I committ to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and as for my worldly Estate both real and personall I give and devise in manner following (that is to say) I give and bequeath to Elizabeth my dear wife and Sole Executrix after my Just debts are paid, all my household goods moveables and immoveables and all that Cottage or house purchased of Gyles Wooton, She paying to my Brother Anthony the summe of forty Shillings within Six months after my decease and the like summe of forty Shillings to my loveing Sister Mary Pain, and I do hereby renounce and revoke all former and other wills by me made and do declare this to be my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seal the 10th of October 1698 William Sternton his mark Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Geo. Castell Samuel Surridge John Woodland Proved 5th day of May 1699
