In the name of god Amen the eight and twentith day of October in the yeare of our lord god one thousand sixe hundred and ninetene  And in the yeares of the Raigne of our soveraigne Lord James by the grace of god of England ffrance and Ireland Kinge defender of the faythe etc the seventeenth and of Scotland the three and fiftieth  I Richard Troughton the elder of Hanslop also Hanslape within the Countie of Buckingham beinge sicke in bodie but of good and p[er]fect remembrance blessed be god Revokinge and disanullinge all former wills and testaments by me made,  Doe ordayne and make this my last will and testament in manner and forme folowinge  That is ffirst I bequeath my soule into the mercifull p[ro]texion of Allmightie god the father sonne and holie ghoste verylie beeleving and assuringe my selfe in the love of god, and by the power of his speritt that all my sinns whatsoever are freelie pardoned and forgiven me, in and for the p[re]cious death and obedience of my onlie and alone lord and saviour Christ Jesus  And that therbie I shalbe made an Inheritor of everlastinge liefe in glorie and happiness.  My bodie I commend unto the earth then to be buried in the ile (aisle) of the church of Hanslap aforesayd, betwene my late wiefe deceased and my sonne Thomas (yf it possible may bee) there to remayne in hope untill the resurrection of the Just to liefe everlastinge:  Item I give to Allexander my sonne all that my messuage or tennement comonlie called or knowne by the name of Wincles his house scytuate in church end in Hanslop aforesayd now in the holding of Henrie Hale  And alsoe all the yardes, gardens orchyards, houses and close of ground adiacent to the sayd messuage, thereto belonginge in church end aforesayd to have and to hold the sayd messuage or tennement and all and singular the yards gardens, orchards houses and close heerby before bequeathed to the sayd Allexander, unto the sayd Alexander Troughton my sonne for and during his naturall liefe  And from and ymediatlie after the death and decease of the sayd Allexander:  Then I will and my full intent is, that all the sayd messuage or tennement with the premisses and apurtenances whatsoever bequeathed to the sayd Allexander shall remayne and come unto Christopher Troughton the sonne of Richard Troughton my sonne, and to the heires of the sayd Christopher Troughton for ever:  yf the sayd Christopher shall accomplishe the age of one and twentie yeares  Item I bequeath unto the sayd Christopher Troughton and to his heires for ever all and singular the lands tenements and heriditaments with their apurtenances whatsoever wherin I the sayd Richard Troughton the elder have my estate of Inheritance in posession or use, Revercion or Remayder and w[hi]ch are not heretofore given or granted unto Richard Troughton my sonne in Hanslop aforesayd yf the sayd Christopher Troughton shall accompishe the age of one and twentie yeares:  But yf it shall happen the sayd Christopher doe die before he come to the age of one and twentie yeares Then my will is that all the aforesayd messuage lands tenements and heriditaments with the apurtenances formerlie bequeathed to the sayd Christopher shall Remayne and come unto Isack Troughton the sonne of Michaell Troughton my sonne and to the heires of the sayd Isack for ever  Item I give unto the sayd Allexander Troughton my sonne the yearlie annuitie of ffortie pownds of currant money of England, to be issuinge and going out of the pasture ground comonlie called or knowen by the name of the nether pasture scytuate and beeing within the p[re]cynts of Castlethrop within the Countie aforesayd, and now or late in the holding of John Smithe or his assigne or assignes, to be well and trulie payd by Richard Troughton my sonne his Executors or assignes yearlie unto the sayd Allexander Troughton, during the naturall liefe of the sayd Allexander, yf my lease, leases or interest in the sayd pasture (amonge other things to me granted) shall soe long contynue at two usuall dayes of payment in the yeare yearlie that is at the day of St Michaell the archangel and at the day of the Annuntiacion of the blessed Virgin St Marie by equall porcions the first payment of the aforesayd Annuitie of ffortie pownds to begine and to be made at such of the sayd dayes of payment thereof as shall first happen to be or come next ensuing after the sayd pasture ground, or anie p[ar]te or p[ar]cell thereof shall come in to the hands use or posession of the sayd Richard Troughton my sayd sonne provided allwayes  And my full intent and meaninge is that yf the sayd yearlie Annuitie of ffortie pownds, or anie p[ar]te and p[ar]cell thereof shall happen to be  behinde and unpayd by the space of Twentie dayes next after anie of the dayes of payment thereof the same beeing lawfullie demanded, in or at the porche of the church or chapell of Castlethrop aforesayd, and not payd:  That then and from thence forthe yt shall and may be lawfull to and for the sayd Allexander Troughton into all every or anie the p[re]misses out of w[hi]ch the sayd Annuitie isuinge or growing forth to enter and distrayne and the distress and distresses then and there soe lawfullie taken to have detayne or sell, that the sayd Allexander of the sayd Annuitie and arrearages thereof yf and such shall hapen to be, be fullie satisfied and payd.  Item I give to Richard Troughton my sayd sonne all and every the lease and leases whatsoever w[hi]ch were granted by the late Queen Elizabeth of the mannor and demesne lands with thapurtenances, in Hanslop also Hanslap and Castlethrop aforesayd or ether of them, together with the Right title, estate interest, terme of yeares and demand whatsoever I the sayd Richard Troughton the elder now have or ought to have by the sayd leases or anie of them or otherwise of into, or out of the sayd Manner and demesne lands and apurtenances or anie of them w[hi]ch I had and obtayned of one Ambrosse Butler and of the sayd late queene Elizabeth or anie of them the estate and interest of Michael Troughton my sonne and of Susannah his now wiefe heretofore granted of and in p[ar]te of the premisses onlie excepted  Item I give unto Michaell Troughton my sonne Tenn milche kine or beasts of thees my milche kine or beastes of those w[hi]ch shall happen to goe or depasture in or uppon the grounds, belonginge to my farme or messuage in Hanslop aforesayd now in the occupacion of me the sayd Richard Troughton the elder at the tyme of my decease  Item I give to ye sayd Michael Troughton my sonne all my sheepe and lambes that shall happen to goe and depasture in both the closes called Mill feelds in Castlethrop aforesayd, now in the holding of me the sayd Richard Troughton the elder at the tyme of my decease  Item I give to the sayd Michaell Troughton the halfe parte or moytie of all such my Corne grayne, beanes, pease or poulse now sowed or to be sowed And the halfe p[ar]te or moytie of all the Corne and grayne of myne Inned in all, or anie my barnes or storehouses in Hanslop aforesayd.  Item I give to my sonne Richard Troughton the other halfe p[ar]te or moytie of all my Corne grayne beanes pease and poulse now sowed or to be sowed within the feelds of Hanslop aforesayd and the halfe p[ar]te or moytie of all such my Corne and grayne Inned in all or anie my barnes or storehouses in Hanslop aforsayd  Item I give to my sayd sonne Richard Troughton tenn milche kine or beasts of thees my milche kine or beasts w[hi]ch shall goe or depasture uppon all or anie the grounds belonging to the messuage or farme now in the occupation of me the sayd Richard Troughton  the elder in Hanslop aforesayd at the tyme of my decease  Item I will that the yearlie Rent of nine pownds and tenn shillings of Currant money of England payable by the sayd Michaell my sonne and Susanna his now wiefe or ether of them there or ether of ther assignes for his, her there or anie of the p[ar]te or p[ar]tes of the demesne lands aforesayd to him or anie of them formerlie granted to him the sayd Richard Troughton the elder, shalbe payd to my sayd sonne Richard Troughton   And for default of payment therof yt shalbe lawfull to my sayd sonne Richard Troughton and his assigne and assigness, or anie of them to distrayne in the ground for the w[hi]ch the sayd yearlie rent of nine pownds and tenn shillings ought to be payd  Item I give to ffrancis Giffard my sonne in lawe fiftie sheepe of thees w[hi]ch shall goe or depasture upon Sawcie grene. or w[hi]ch shall have usualie bene gonne, or depastured there   Item I give to Jane Giffard my daughter the wiefe of the sayd ffrancis Giffard all that my lease w[hi]ch I had latelie of Lancellott Lowther esquire together  with all my estate, right, interest, terme of yeares  and demand whatsoever, therin mentioned or granted w[hi]ch I the sayd Richard Troughton the elder now have or ought to have , of, in, to, or out of all, every or anie the houses, tenements lands p[ro]fitts, or anie other things in the sayd lease mentioned or therby demised  Item I give to my brother Christopher Troughton all such money and debts as he oweth me  Item I give to my sister Margaret Kineley the yearlie rent or summe of ffower pownds of Currant money of England to be payd by my sayd sonne Richard Troughton, or his assynes to my sayd sister Margarett during her naturall liefe at or uppon ffower usuall dayes of payment in the yeare that is at the day of St. John the Baptist, at the day of St. Michaell the Arch angell, the day of St. Thomas the apostle and the day of the Annuntiacon of the blessed Virgin St Marie by equall porcions   The first payment thereof to begine and to be made at such of the dayes of payment therof, as shall first happen after my decease  Item I give to Richard Giffard and Anne Giffard two of the  children of the sayd ffrancis Giffard, all such money as he the sayd ffrancis oweth me, to be equalie devided betwene them,  Item I give to my sayd sonne Richard Troughton all my tymber wheresoever and whatsoever, and alsoe  One hundred pownds of Currant money of England and alsoe halfe of all my draught horses, carts plowgs, harrowes, harnes and furniture of husbandrie whatsoever.  Item I give my sonne Michaell Troughton the other halfe of all my draughte horses, carts, ploughes, harrowes harnes and furniture of husbandrie whatsoever. Item I give to Jane Giffard the daughter of ffrancis Giffard ffortie pownds of currant money of England,  and alsoe the trunke that was heretofore given her the chest and box and all the lynnen thein.  And alsoe the safegard, cloake and wollen apparell, which were my late deceased wives  Item I give to the pore Hanslop ffortie shillings of Currant money of England to be given them ymediatlie after my decease.  And other ffortie shillings to be given them within one yeare after my decease, at two payments in the yeare by equall porcions at the discretion of my Executor  Item I give to my sonne Michaell Troughton all such my bedsteed bedding and the furniture which I now have in the chamber wherein he now lodgeth   Item I give to my sonne Richard Troughton, all the sheepe in the lawne Dormans pasture and Wards pasture and everie of them  Item I give to Allexander my sonne, the bedsteed with the furniture in the greate parlor   Item I give to my daughter Jane Giffard aforesayd a guilt bole  Item I give to my sonne  Michaell Troughton my mault querne and my furines   Item I give to Sara the daughter of my sonne Michaell my ingraven silver bole,  Item I give to Jane Troughton the daughter of my sonne Richard Troughton  a litle silver boulle  Item I give to Jane Wickens the daughter of Robert Wickens my sonne one litle silver boulle and ffortie pownds of Currant money of England towards her advancement in mariage, to be payd to the sayd Jane Wickens when she shall accomplish the age of seventeene yeares yf she soe long live  Provided allwayes that yf the sayd Jane Wickens  doe die before she accomplishe the age of seventeene yeares or unmaried, then I will that the sayd ffortie pownds and silver bolle and porcion bequeathed to the sayd Jane Wickens, shall remayne and goe to Anne Giffard, daughter of the sayd ffrancis Giffard  Item I give to Richard Heynsworth my godsone fower sheepe   Item I give to every of my household servants tenn shillings a peece:  Item I will that a monument convenient for me shalbe errected by my executor over or nere unto my grave.  item I give unto Anne Troughton the wiefe of my sonne Richard Troughton a silver bole  Item I give to my sayd sonne Allexander my white gelding  Item I give to my sayd sonne Richard Troughton the greater guilt salt seller and the Cuppoard, the bedsteed, bedd and furniture  thereto belonging being in the Inner parlor and alsoe sixe silver spoones at his choyse  Item I give to my sonne Allexander sixe silver spoones  Item I give to my sonne Michaell sixe silver spoones.  I give the Rest of my silver spoones to my sayd daughter Jane Giffard,  Item I give to my daughter Susanna the wiefe of my sonne Michaell a litle table, a Cupbord and the Carpitt upon the sayd litle table in the greate p[ar]lor  Item I give to my sonne Michaell the long table with the thre formes in the hall, and the presse in the Chamber wherein I lie  And the thre garners, two greate ffats one chese bord and one rack in the chese chamber, and the close belonginge to Tompkins his farme, late in the occupation of Richard Coye and thre Akers of meadow belonginge to the sayd Tompkins his farme, during my interest in them  Item I give to my sayd sonne Michaell the chest next to the bed wherein I lie, the litle table in my bed chamber, the bedsteed bed and furniture therunto wherein Jane Giffard doth usualie lie, and alsoe the table in the spare chamber  Item I give to Jane Giffard the daughter of ffrancis Giffard a guilt salt seller  Item I give to every of the children, of Richard Troughton Michaell Troughton and ffrancis Giffard fower sheepe a peece  Item I give to Richard Troughton my sonne all my sheepe and beasts in Throope grounds (except thoes w[hi]ch I have before given consent actes privitas or procurement, trouble molest or hinder the execution of this my last will and testament of in, for, or cocerninge the taking haveinge or administeringe of in or uppon the sayd leases, lands goods or Cattells or anie of them, or of anie p[ar]te or parcell of them or anie of them, or from or concerninge the proving execution or administracion of this my last will and
