In the name of god Amen: The xx th daie of March in the yeare of our lorde god 1616:  accordinge to the english comoutation:  I Thomas James of Hansloppe in the countie of Bucks;  plowewright, beinge weak in bodie, but of good and perfect memeory, thankes be to god do make and ordaine, this my laste will and testament in manner and forme followinge;  viz:  Imprimis I comend my soule to allmightie god and to the holy trynite, from wheare it receaved it beinge, and my bodie to the earth whereof it was made;  Item I give to the repaire of the church of Hanslopp aforesaide twentie pence, and to the poore of the saide parishe twentie pence;  Item I give and bequeath to Mary nowe my wife, Christopher ffisher her brother, and to Willyam Cooke of Hungate Ende in Hanslopp aforesaide, all that messuage or tenement whearein I nowe dwell and inhabite, situate and beinge in Greene End in Hanslopp aforesaide togeather with the barnes, stables outhouses, hovells, leanetooes, gardens, orchardes yardes, backsides easmentes and all other profittes comodities and emolumentes whatsoever to the same belonging or apperteyninge;  to have and to holde the saide messuage or tenement, and other the premisses, to the saide Mary my wife, Christopher Fisher her brother, and the saide Willyam Cooke and theire assignes duringe theire naturall lifes and the longest liver of them successively viz: to the saide Mary duringe her life, without ympeachment of waste, and to the saide Christopher and the saide Willyam Cooke during theire lives;  and the longest liver of them successively ...  for waste comitted, in theire or either of theire tymes;  yeeldinge an payinge therefore yearely duringe he tearme of theire naturall lives, and the longest liver of them successively, unto the reight heires of me, the saide Thomas James the somme of eight pence currant mony of Englande at the twoe      feastes in the yeare viz: the anunciation of our blessed lady St Mary the virgine, and St Michaell the arch angell, by eaven and equall portions, if the same be lawfully demanded the firste payment of the saide paymentes to begine at the firste of the saide feastes which shall happen next after my decease;  and after the death of the saide Mary, Christopher and Willyam, I doe will and bequeathe the saide messuage or tenement and other the premisses ymmediately wholy, to revert, remayne and come, to my reight heires for ever;  to beholden of the cheefe lorde or lordes of the fee for the tyme beinge, by the rentes and serices, thesrefore due and accustomed;  Item I doe make and ordaine, the saide Mary my wife, my sole and onely executrix of this my laste will and testament, to whome I doe give and bequeath all my goodes and chattells moveable and unmoveable  whatsoever;  provided allwais, that as she hath faithfully promised me, she doe truly paie and dischardge, all my debtes;  and I doe likwise revoake and adnihilate, all and every former will and wills whatsoever, by me hearetofore made;  I doe constitute and appointe my wellbeloved freindes and neighbors Henry Cotes, gent and Robert Parrot to be my overseers, to see the performance of this my laste will and testament, and do intreate their paines hearein;  In witnes wheareof I have hereunto this present laste will and testament subscribed my name and sett my seale the daie and yeare first above written In the presence of Richard Fane  Antony ffowkes Christopher Travell
