Chapel Farm is in Hartwell, Nothamptonshire, but seems to have been in Hanslope before the county border was realigned, possible in 1894. In the Watts estate map of 1779 it is showed as owned by Edward Watts with Thomas Crick sa the tenant. In the Duke of Kingston's rent records, Thomas Crick is shown as a tenant, probably of this farm, from 1760 until the records end in 1763. Before Thomas Crick, the tenant was John Oakley from 1733, and before that Robert Parrot with a note in 1725 that he had just taken over from 'Biggs'. |
