A view over the roofs of buildings on High Street of the cottages now known as 4 Gold Street which are in the left-centre of the photograph.
Against the left edge of the photograph is the old Cock. At the time the two cottages were accessed from High Street through the gardens which were beside the Cock. The photograph also shows the small, lean-to style building attached to the southern end of the cottages. This has since been demolished. |
