In April 2009, showing that the building is no longer standing.

It is said that the house was struck by lightening and caught fire fairly early in the 20th century.  Harry Geary bicycled into Newport Pagnell to alert the fire brigade.  By the time they arrived, the house had burnt down.  As the house belonged to the Watts family, someone went to Hanslope Park to alert them.  The reaction of Mrs Watts was to hope that Harry Geary would pay for the fire brigade (source: story passed on by Edward Geary in 1980s).
