First image in set Former cottage on site of village store

This photograph was taken around 1900 from the Church Tower. In the centre of the photograph is the back of a building that then stood on the site of the current village store on Gold Street. It is believed that this building formed two cottages.

To the left of these cottages, and on the left of the photograph are two further cottages which are still standing in 2010, now known as Silent Night and Christmas Cottage. A 'lean-to' on the side of these cottages has since been removed.
