This house is thought to have been built between 1900 and 1910.  It does not appear on the Ordnance Survey map of 1900, but by the 1911 Census, there appear to be people living in the house.

Older resident remember Frederick Cook and his wife Mary Ann living here.  After Frederick died. Mary Ann moved to Northampton where she opened a small sweet shop.  Children of the time remember with pleasure trips to Northampton including visits to the shop where they could expect a treat.
