From the 1930s to the 1950s a garage was run from 10 High Street by George Powell.

10 High Street is the white building. This is probably taken in the 1960s or 1970s. At this time a carriers business was run from the building, with garage to the right and behind.

This photograph shows the front extension which may have been built by the Powells.

From late 1950s to 1980s, the garage was run by George Fletcher.

In April 2006.

The area of the former garage now forms Carriers Close. One of the houses built there in the 1990s can be seen in the right of the photograph.
